Here is the progress

Components use

  • 1.28 display is for displaying animations and current status like ex: social battery & current mood
  • The main board is the xiao Esp32-c3, i picked this because it has inbuilt wifi/bluetooth and the coolest part it has its own BMS (which i can place a cheap 3.7 lithuim ion bat)
  • The Sk led's are for the case light it can show different mood colors as well
  • the push button is for rotating menus options

Why

  • i placed the leds at the side so i can make the case glow into different colors
  • the xiao is on top so it can charge easily and it is accessible
  • i picked the round display so it can look like a badge!
  • i placed the button so when i press anywhere of the case i can interact with it
  • there is a hole in the back of the xiao so i can wire up the battery connections
  • i used an esp32c3 so it can connect by wifi or ble

Made the schematic and footprint of 1.28in display module

imageimage

So this was super hard "as in"

  • i couldn't find any schematic or footprint online so i had to make it myself :(
  • but i found an data sheet in an alibaba listing and made 1 from scratch which took so long

Made the schematic took 15 mins to do

image

#Added info!
-I did research by finding the cheapest listing of the parts that i might need such as an 1.28in oled.

  • also researched the footprints of the module of the 1.28.
