Planning and cutting the metal

This project is a group project.
Special thanks to Robohub, Seif and fakhfakh.mohamedaziz0 for participating in the making of this project.

The main idea of this project is to make a go-kart controlled by a hoverboard on the back, with an electronic throttle control and a steering mechanism on the front.

After getting permission from our school administration, we started cutting pieces of old, discarded, broken tables and chairs; they will be our system's main body.

We used an angle grinder to cut the legs of chairs to use as rods or axes, and then we cut the top of tables and a two-seater chair-table combination to get a solid body that wouldn't break nor bend.

This process was quite tedious and took a lot of time, especially with us only having one angle grinder that didn't have an off button.

All of these things that were cut were thrown out and not used anymore !!

We had to stop there for today because the angle grinder's disc was worn out and couldn't be used anymore.

Steering mechanism:

The steering mechanism will consist of two separate rods that are connected to the steering wheel's axis that will push and pull the wheels from a metal piece that extends forward to increase the momentum.
The wheels would be supported by an axis welded to a U-shaped metal piece connecting it to the kart's body.
It is a very basic mechanism, but this is the main idea for now, and changes will be made in the future.
