ES_01 E-ink Smartwatch

A 5mm thick smartwatch which achieves its thinness by laying out each of its components in a straight line, in their own modules which can bend around each other to conform to the wearer's wrist. The watch features a main E-ink touch display that consumes very little power, accompanied by two small OLEDs at the top and bottom to show rapidly changing data (Like seconds, heart rate etc.). The watch incorporates an ESP32-S3 microcontroller for main processing and establishing a Bluetooth connection to a smartphone. It also incorporates heart rate sensing, an intelligent inertial measurement unit and a pressure/temperature sensor to provide rough fitness and altitude tracking as well.

LinuxWood: Reviving an Old Laptop into a Modern Workstation

I’m transforming an old, broken laptop into a modern, flexible workstation powered by Xubuntu Linux. The goal is to recycle its components — screen, motherboard, and storage — into a new, slim all-in-one body that’s both functional and beautiful. I’ll design a custom CAD enclosure to hold the screen and motherboard together, upgrade the HDD to SSD, and create a flexible stand so the setup can act as a portable second monitor or main Linux workstation. It will connect to a wireless keyboard and mouse, giving it a clean, cable-free setup perfect for my workbench or desk. This project is all about upcycling old tech, learning CAD and hardware design, and building something practical and sustainable.

AngstromIO, a devboard the size of a USB-C connector (+ the programmer, & another CH32v003 devboard)

AngstromIO is one of the smallest devboards out there, barely longer than a USB-C connector, based on the ATtiny1616 MCU (16kB flash). It comes with 2 Addressable RGB LEDs, and 2 GPIOs as well as I2C lines are broken out. I made a dual CH340 programming board too, both for UPDI programming and debugging (one way Serial Communication). The third PCB is a cost effective, USB-C devboard based on the CH32v003 (QFN) with a small 5x4 charlieplexed LED matrix.

KillerSplit

Split keyboard designed during #Grounded built during #Blueprint. An ergonomic, wireless, split, low-profile keyboard. This is a fusion between a Corne and a ZMK Voyager. It has a 6-column layout like the Corne, but the thumb buttons are placed like a Voyager. I got the inspiration and motivation after looking at so many cool designs in r/ErgoMechKeyboards so wanted to make one of my own.

Ionic Thruster

This is an ionic thruster I made with a flyback transformer and an copper electroplated ring emitter. This thruster is able to create thrust without any moving parts achieving incredibly high fuel efficiently 99%+ in return for very low energy efficiently.

The Surevival

Yooo here!!! I am Rishaan Sharma, a 14 year old Indian. I am making this project, 'The Surevival' as a survival tool. It would have functions like Survival guide, GPS, whether reports, etc. I'll be making this on KiCad, and yeah I'm a beginner! It's MCU will be ESP32-S3FN8. I hope it's a tier 1! It's a very interesting project, so please do check out for the Journal! Well I'm having $105 as the required grant, but I'll return what are left!

X-26 GREYWOLF PT-1

This beast, A single engine powered, housing an 80mm EDF in its engine bay. 1.3 meters long, standing .3 meters high. Is the first Prototype of one of my wonderworks of single engine powered series of a highly agile Rc fighter jet, currently in prototyping state, its intended to house a Custom diy Radar that can track and lock on objects it considers hostile. And a telemetry system which can help locate aircraft's altitude, distance from the controller, its heading, and location for google maps, in mid-flight. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note this project only covers the building of the frame, other components like landing gears, control surfaces, and the electronics needed for basic functionality.

First Person View Drone

A First-Person View (FPV) drone is a fast, acrobatic unmanned aircraft flown using virtual reality (VR) goggles. These goggles stream live video from the drone’s camera, letting the pilot see exactly what the drone sees — perfect for flying through tight spaces and pulling off complex tricks. A radio transmitter is used to control the drone’s movement. FPV drones are flown in full manual mode, meaning the pilot controls throttle, pitch, roll, and yaw directly. There’s no automatic stabilization or self-levelling — just pure control. This makes FPV flying more challenging but also way more fun once you get the hang of it. FPV drones come in many shapes and sizes. The most common is the 5-inch X frame, but other designs like the deadcat (which keeps propellers out of view) and H-shape (popular for freestyle) are also popular. Sizes can range from tiny 65mm “whoops” to huge 13-inch long-range builds. For this build, we’ll be using a 5-inch carbon fibre X frame, a flight controller (FC) and electronic speed controller (ESC) stack, 1700Kv brushless motors, an analogue video transmitter (VTX) and camera, 5-inch tri-blade propellers, a 6S LiPo battery, a patch antenna, omnidirectional antennas, a GPS module, a receiver, a beeper, and several 3D-printed TPU mounts.

High Voltage Power Supply

A high voltage power supply that aims to output around 250,000 volts. It utilizes an high frequency transformer fed into a multi-stage Cockroft-Walton multiplier. This array of high-voltage diodes and capacitors should be able to multiply it up to the hundreds of thousands of volts (hopefully).
