Fan plane reactor
I am 3d printing a fan that look a bit like a plane reactor. It's a simple project that only require basic electronics and 3D printed parts.

I finished the whole thing
Today, I finished putting all the components inside and I closed the support. it work perfectly (just the potentiometer is a bit shitty) and I just need to do the BOM, to film the demo and to finish my repo before I can submit my little project !! It was really short but nice however...

Made a few things
Yesterday, I 3d printed the support, the adaptator (I glued it to the reactor) and the propeller and I began to assemble the electronics.

Today, I soldered everything with my shit ass solder iron and I assembled the support with the reactor. I also put the motor in the part that I 3D printed and glued to the reactor.

made a little CAD piece
I made a little piece to control the slide potentiometer so it don't look like shit. I make it with a "plane vibe" to match the theme but the design isn't really developped. However, here is it :

I made an adaptator
This evening, I improved a little my support that I will print in a few days and I created an adaptator (unsure how it's called in english) to be able to put the reactor on the support. I also choosed a 3d printable model of a propeller on internet because I'm not good enough at 3d modeling to do this yet.

I made the wiring diagram
Today, I 3D printed the structure and it went pretty well. After that, I thinked of which compenents I should choose to have the perfect thing. To minimise the cost, I only took parts that I already own : The motor is from an old paper printer, the slide potentiometer was in an old electric guitar, the usbc charger come from an old vape that my brother owned and I already got the switch and wires for a long time. The only thing I bought is the little thingy that link the potentiometer, the motor and charger to reduce/increase the power when you interact with the potentiometer.
After that, I did the simple schematic :

replaced the logos by the actual components to make it easier to understand :

modified the support
I changed things on the support like the thickness to make sure that all the components can fit inside :

tomorrow, i'll organize the electronics and print that

How to put the motor inside ?
I wanted to make a support inside of the reactor that could allow the motor to be centered.
I firstly thinked that this design would be perfect :

With some time, I was like "hmm this design really sucks" so I made a new one that is actually just a simpler version of it :

Made the design of the support
Now, I'm trying to find a shape that will be a good support for the reactor and that could have all the electronics inside (except for the motor that will be inside of the reactor).
(the following images are from different days because it took me that much time to figure out what shape I would choice.)
My first idea :
Then, I tried to make others design like an "arm" that could take the reactor from the top or ather things...
My last idea :

The long "hole" on the side is to put the "lever" linked to the potentiometer.

Started making the CAD
Today, I started my project by creating the CAD of the 3d printed parts. I will begin to think about the electronics later, maybe tomorrow.
Here are pictures of the CAD :

I got problem with this CAD but I will get rid of those strange layers tomorrow

2/13/2026 - Finished the last things
I finished my repo by exporting all my 3D files as .step or .f3d like it's asked in the submission guide. I filmed the demo and put it on youtube
I put more pictures of the project on the repo.
I think I finished !!!
