I feel as though the Journal's are still a little lackluster.

polished the project

Thanks Jay for the feedback! I have gone through and polished the journals. Here I will just put some of the fine details that I forgot in the other journals.
I had re positioned some of the chips slightly, even thought it made routing worse, it allowed the high speed lines from the USB to be shorter.
Unfortunately, this made some of the other high speed components have worse lanes, but their bandwidth is lower.
All of the 3V3 pins on the rp2040 were wired together as well as all of the 1V1 pins for reliability.

LED (because it wouldn't be worthwhile otherwise)

put the thing in and made repo

I made an account with JLCPCB and put the gerbers in. I accidently deleted it 3 times and had to re-do it every time. It is just on default settings to save cost. Economic pcba.
I also made the repo, detailing some of the specs of the board. As well as vibe coding (yuck) some firmware because I don't yet know python.
I also re-positioned the led on the pcb so that the duck's eye lit up when you tall it to.

Routed the pcb

after pulling another all-nighter, I routed the pcb, adding a led to gipo 25 because that is (obviously) the most important part of the whole board (the led part). My original intent was to bring out gipo 25, but I decided that an indicator LED is more important. The LED is red with a 1k resistor in order to limit the current to safe levels.
I also labeled everything in the silkscreen, including the gipo and the chips. the programmer instructions are on the back.
The thermal dissipation ended up the hardest, so some of the GND pads are funny.

Made the schematics

I made the schematics from the guide, however, I wanted maximum gipo and so used gipo25 in the design because otherwise it was wasted.
I also decided that the usbc in the guide was sufficient for my purpose, it didn't need a different kind of port.
