Day 1: Research and choosing parts

I began by doing some research as to what parts to use to track the bend and spread of my fingers. I found many videos online of people using flex sensors, but this was bulky and didn't look good. I did some more research and found that if I were to use conductive thread, such as this one, I could sew it into the glove, making it barely visible.

After choosing to use conductive thread, I decided to build a test circuit using a piece of paper with graphite on it. By covering the paper in graphite, I was able to simulate the thread. I built a simple voltage divider connected to a xiao samd21 and found that it worked pretty well. After this test, I decided that I would use thread over flex sensors.
