SCHEMATIC DONE

Schematic took forever and I had to do a lot of research and learning on how this stuff worked but basic wrap up is that I'm using a TP4056 for charging with a DW01A and a dual mosfet to handle charging + protection and then a MAX98357A and ESP32-C3!! First, I did a basic wrap through of connections, here's some pictures

i also had a little status led in there but then i lowk realized half my wiring was wrong after doing some research + it just looked terrible

so over here i redid some wiring with the tp4056 module and used global nets instead

and then i redid the charging protection system hopefully this is right? i tried to work off some wiring diagrams i found online

and then nets on the LDO and allScreenshot 2025-12-25 at 12.34.58 AM

i also had to move some stuff with the esp32 because i got the boot button wrongScreenshot 2025-12-25 at 12.35.22 AM

my original plan was to upload audio over bt or wifi but im reconsidering and may just do that over UART? in which case I could probably switch to a RP2040 or something without wifi/bluetooth

if anyone sees this proejct, a quick check over the schematic would be great!!

Part Picking

Went through and did some research on how a project like this is supposed to work and heres my breakdown:

for the basic functionality, i need an mcu, some buttons, maybe a volume slider, an audio amp, and a speaker (hoping for it to be decently loud at max too)

for power, i'm gonna need a battery and a charger with protection like tp4056

for casing and holding, im planning to just 3dp allat + i want to put iphone magnets in it so it can be held there!!

here's my parts list so far:
