3D Design
This is finish of design section
Description
After finishing the PCB, I moved on to Fusion 360.
At this stage, I focused on the 3D appearance of the project.
Design Process
Working on the 3D model was quite enjoyable, and the process went quickly and smoothly.
The main focus was on:
- Integrating the PCB into the 3D design
- Defining the overall shape of the platform
- Making sure all components fit correctly

Making PCB - Routing and Final Preparation
Description
In the next stage, I focused on routing the PCB and preparing the final board for the project.
Results
- The PCB layout is clear and functional
- No complex routing challenges were encountered
- The design meets the project requirements

Making PCB - Schematic Stage
Description
At this stage, I focused on creating the PCB schematic.
The schematic was designed in KiCad.
Work Summary
This part of the project was not difficult. The schematic consists mainly of:
- The MCU
- Several key components listed below
- Basic and necessary connections between them
Once the components were selected, it was simply a matter of connecting everything correctly.
Key Points
- No complex circuitry was required
- The design is straightforward and functional
- The goal was clarity and correctness, not complexity
Overall, it was easy work and did not require advanced effort.

Project Development – Initial Stage
Overview
At this stage, I focused on testing how the project would work and identifying the components I would need. The goal was to validate the general concept before moving forward with more detailed design and implementation.
Key Decisions
After initial testing and analysis, I decided on the following setup:
- The project will be based on two 5V DC motors
- A custom PDB (Power Distribution Board) will be used
- The main controller will be ESP32-C3-DevKitC-02
Electronic Components
The system will include the following electronic parts:
| Component | Purpose |
|---|---|
| ESP32-C3-DevKitC-02 | Main microcontroller |
| L7805 | Voltage regulator |
| TB6612FNG | Motor driver |
| Pin headers | External connections |
Mechanical Design
For the mechanical side of the project, I plan to use:
-
LEGO wheels
- In the 3D CAD model, these will be represented as simple generic wheels, as no accurate model was available.
- A simple platform, designed specifically for:
- 3D printing
- A small front swivel wheel
- This will improve maneuverability and make turning easier.
Notes
- The mechanical design is intentionally simple to speed up prototyping.
- All custom parts are designed with rapid iteration in mind.
- The platform geometry will be adjusted after real-world testing.
