a bit of an explanation.

so. My school has a thing called Hatch, where you learn to make a business. This year it's starting a startup.

Last year, I saw a pitch called TapTalk from my friend Marley.

The whole idea of taptalk is that the best ideas come at the most inconvenient times--some easy way to record those would be ideal. Something you could use at 4am when you can't sleep but you can dream, something in the shower, something in the car on the way to work. The solution is a button with a microphone in it.

Truly. It's that simple. Instant 44 million+ end users available. It's a beautiful idea and, somehow, has never been executed cheap and somewhat well. The only real product I've seen that can somewhat fill the idea is the Plaud Note. Which is $159.00. And it's big.

Here's the goal: an esp32 based micro device with a built in microphone and a single button to control, slightly larger than an airtag. I'll also have a little mount system for it. A little suction cup mount for in the shower, a little car mount, anything. Plus, simple open source and easy to 3d print mount specifically so people can make their own. With provided reference designs on implementing it.

I might use an nRF52840 w/ a nRF7002 for wifi. Might use a little less battery, not sure. Small rechargeable battery and a little wireless charger (or pogo pins and magnets?).
