i love the ch334 so much. it is such a capable usb hub chip, built in crystal, in so many forms, while being cheaper than worse alternatives!!!! i just wish it is available in more markets tho, currently only lcsc stocks them. wch-ic i hope they go big.

i found a really nice mid mount usb c part on lcsc (https://www.lcsc.com/product-detail/C223907.html) it is mid mount so you can make your pcb really sleek. unfortunately i have some capacitors poking out but other than that i have quite a sleek pcb.

always remember to add usb protection kids

used different usb protection chip, cleaner and better for usb as it adds less capacitance to the usb traces. usb spec only allows 5pf parasitic capacitance, this chips add 0.6pf, so it should be fine.

very clean usb routing, it was a great call to use the passthrough esd diodes, it made it so easy to route. next is to decorate the pcb hehe. i hope this will be a great gift rahhh.
