Research and Schematic Work
I had known for a while that I wanted to make my own guitar pedals, so I started by researching which pedals I could reasonably make without being too complicated, and would also use in my usual playing. I landed on the phaser effect, as many of my favourite guitarists, like David Gilmour, use it often.
I'm also using this project as an opportunity to learn CAD, as I'll have to design the pedal case and I want it to look pretty.
After researching a bit the way that phaser pedals work, I started designing the schematic based off of the one for the MXR 90. Advised by a friend who has a bit more experience with pedal design, I changed the power supply to be able to connect it to a power supply instead of using it with a battery. I also had to change a couple of the components, namely the transistors, as the original ones aren't produced anymore.
Here's the schematic so far.
