Day 1

Started by reading the starter guide. Searched the internet about each component and what they mean. Found a really cool youtube video on matrix connection and one about making a macropad video link

Start making project files and stuff.

Day 2

Created the project on Blueprint website.

Hopped into KiCad and started by importing the components symbols and footprints. Plan out what it will look like once finished. Took waayyy too much time than I imagined to do this.

Day 3

Start with the schemantics. At first I wanted to do a 9x9 key setup but later realized there aren't enough pins for that in the microcontroller. Opted in for a 2x3 6 button design with a rotary encoder. Wired the schemantics and placed components in PCB editor.

Day 4

Didn't like how it looked so placed everything again properly. Fixed the routing and tried to simplify it a bit.
Created the board outline (lessons learned, making weird shapes in KiCad is a pain and its easier to just do a rectangle and edit it with rounded corners). measured the board and prepare to make the casing.

Created the Github Repo and uploaded the files. Seems like there's no option to create journal on the website. Created JOURNAL.md file and well writing this stuff.

After about a day or two of writing the journal of github I received the grant of 20$ for ordering the PCB. I did a final revision of my design. Now it doesn't have any isolated ground plane, simplified the routing as much as I could, checked everything again and I thought I was good to go!

I placed the order and now it should be in production now.
