Finish the repository

So, I've created the GitHub repository, uploaded the KiCad files, photos, readme, bom, and the STEP file for the PCB, and prepared everything for the final submission. Here's another render of the current PCB:

Component Selection and Pcb Routing

So, I forgot to mention that the schematic file is finished... as always, I selected the individual components from lcsc and assigned them to the individual components of the schematic file to make exporting the bom file easier later.

First, I created the input buffer layout to make routing as easy as possible, and then applied this eight times to all eight inputs.

Then of course I placed the components around the ADC, basing my layout on the FreeDSP board. Naturally, everything is routed and I think my routing looks much better than on the last boards.

I forgot to take a screenshot earlier, so everything is already routed here.

Then run data lines from the ADC to the motherboard's connectors, ground and 5V to the input buffers, and the 8 channels from the input pin header via the buffer to the ADC. Add the ground planes, and the first version of the PCB is finished. A Kiloan logo is a must, of course ;)

And here's another render of the board. I'm a little glad I'm sick and can use my time to finish this project. I think I'll get quite a bit done in the last few days of Bluepint...

More Research and Schematic finish

I took the input buffer from parts of the example in the AK5558 datasheet and the FreeDSP example and simply copied it eight times to have one for each analog input. There's also now one large header for all eight inputs, so I can later make an adapter from this pin header to, for example, XLR inputs.

I forgot to send this update last night, so I'm quickly writing this sentence and continuing to work on the PCB routing for this day!

Research and ADC Schematic

I have done some research into the TDM stream specification and the ADC converter. In the schematic, I've ensured the connections to the mainboard and have largely completed the basic schematic design. The input buffers are still missing, i am quite busy with school at the time so i work on that tomorrow.
