started designing the base
I started designing the base to hold the first motor. I also took inspiration from a robot that I saw at stanford's robotics lab SRC (Not allowed to show picture) which was designed to do tasks like folding bed sheets and etc in a bedroom. I want 5 degrees of freedom, one joint at the bottom, one on the middle, another bend,and in that same place a rotational movement and end it with a simple claw. For the rotation I want to use a differential but not sure yet.

looked at all of my different actuator options
I want to make a robotic arm that has a few degrees of freedom but is very strong.
I am looking at the Nema models of stepper motors because i like the build and type.
i decided on the nema 23 because it has good strength and speed and good reviews.
