Planning the build...

Hey guys! So this is going to be a project that I'm doing with my older sister. Our plan is to use an LED matrix to display information like the time, scores of our favorite teams, and stocks. This is going to be an exciting project, especially because I can work on my hobby with my sister.

Here's what we researched and discussed today:

1. We found out that there are several businesses already selling this product, but they're super expensive. ($300 for $125 of hardware)
2. We decided that we should program the clock function first, then move on to using APIs to track stocks and sports
3. There needs to be a Web UI or App to control the settings for the display
4. We will need a stronger processor and more RAM for both the display and APIs
5. The microcontroller of choice must be able to connect to the internet
6. The total size of the project should not exceed 7" x 4"
