zsharpminor's ChargeSafe v1
Fully custom MagSafe phone and AirPods charger stand with a cantilever weight design, magnet holders, and a custom engraved logo. Entirely 3d-printable (with the exception of 2x 2m MagSafe Charger [Self-Provided.] ) Tier 5 (as this was intended to be a safety project for Prototype in case my other project got pushed down to Tier 5 which thankfully didn't happen) unless you for some reason think putting 2 chargers in a box qualifies for Tier 4.

Finished Modeling Stem.
Inner Diameter of Stem: 28mm, made to friction-fit inside of the housing - everything's coming together very well; I should be ready to submit this project for review soon and then I can print it!

Finished Base CAD Design!

The base (2 parts) is officially finished! I spent waaay too long using Fit Point Spline to recreate a custom logo - I think it looks good - there was definitely a more efficient way of doing it, but the logo had quite a few background artifacts that I was unable to remove, so Fit Point Spline it was!

The bottom of the case also has some text and magnet holders that should help the stand stick to a metal desk! :D

I finished those magnet holders as well; here they are:

Tomorrow, work starts on the stalk!

Started CAD Design
Today, I designed the holder for the MagSafe charger itself, which also just arrived in the mail, meaning I should be able to revise and test this part of the charger later tonight!!
I also made a cover to hide the cable:

Initial Brainstorming And Research
The first thing I always look for in my projects are problems that needed solving; this was no different. In my household, USB-C and Lightning cables are constantly being juggled around, and I was getting quite sick of not having a way of charging my phone. Additionally, the holidays are coming up, and I wanted to design a thoughtful gift for my father, who, with a Lightning port, only has one cable to charge his phone. I wanted a design with MagSafe so that the phone could be mounted in either orientation, and I had the idea of making a floating design - obviously a floating phone will just topple the 3d print over, so I designed the print around a few weight blocks that I had lying around! Sadly, Apple's Accessory Design Guidelines are a bit confusing; but I think I'm getting the hang of it! When I get home later, I'll begin with the case in Fusion.
