Planning the build...

Recently, I got a Hyper Fan 8. It's a powerful 7" fan, so I thought it'd be amazing to use for a ventilation system. When soldering, I have probably breathed in way too many fumes(They still smell amazing). To stop losing brain cells, I'm gonna make a ventilation system. The fan will suck up fumes from my 3D printer and soldering station.

BOM

  1. Inline Fan - I'm using a Hyper Fan 8
  2. Microcontroller - I'm going to use the fan favorite (haha get it): ESP32 (I'm not sure which one)
  3. Ducting - I'm going to use 8in flexible ducting and a wye splitter
  4. Rotary Encoder - EC11
  5. PETG - Some components will be printed in PETG to be heat resistant
  6. PLA - This will be used to print a case for the electronics.
  7. A screen? - Screens are cool
  8. Filters - Carbon and HEPA
  9. DAC - converts pwm to analog
  10. pwm to 0-10v - to control the fan speed image
