Changed the diagram, figured out the torque needed to move.

I previewed how it would look, and figured out that my measurements were wrong. I decided to make the sides twice the height, so that the goalie wouldn't extend much past the sides. I also calculated the torque that a motor would need to apply for a goalkeeper that is 35cm long, 5cm wide, and 0.3 cm thick. I plan to print the goalie in PLA, so the approx weight for that is 80 grams. I plugged this info in to some formulas, and I figured out that i needed a motor with at least 0.84 kg/cm of torque. The DS3225 motor I've been looking at is cheap, and it can handle these forces.

Started the project and made a few notes

I made the idea of a smaller version of the robot goalkeeper I saw on YouTube. I decided that I'm going to be 3d printing the head, and using a servo motor to move it around. A camera is going to be mounted with a computer vision program running on it to tell the goalie where to go. I might change the design of the goalie later to a straight-standing one that slides around, depending on which is going to work better.
